This is our foundational Pilates class—built on the classical repertoire and taught with a contemporary approach.

Expect smart instruction at a steady rhythm to help you build strength, understand the basics, and move with control.

Don’t underestimate the challenge—foundational doesn’t mean easy. You’ll focus on form, breath, and core strength that carries into every class after.

Perfect for beginners, pre/postnatal clients, those returning from injury, or anyone wanting to revisit the roots with expert guidance.

ATHLETIC REFORMER.

READY TO LEVEL UP? THIS ONE MOVES.

Athletic Reformer blends classical Pilates with a more intense, athletic edge—designed to challenge strength, control, and endurance.

Expect smart progressions, strong pacing, and movement that pushes you further—without losing sight of form or intention.

Ideal if you’ve taken 3–6 Reformer 101 classes (or have movement experience).

CARDIO REFORMER.

SWEAT. STRENGTH. ZERO IMPACT.

This class brings the heat—without the wear and tear. Using the jumpboard, we take core work and leg strength to the next level while keeping it gentle on your joints. Fast-paced. Music up. Heart rate on. But don’t worry—we don’t jump the whole time.

This is cardio, the SOMOS way: intentional, low impact, and built to move with rhythm. Perfect if you’re craving that sweaty release but want to stay rooted in control.

Best if you’ve taken a few Reformer 101 classes and want to move with more intensity—without losing control.

This 50-minute reformer class is all about precision. With a circuit-based format designed by expert instructors, you'll target your arms, core, and glutes through high-rep sequences that build strength, control, and serious heat.

Every move has a purpose. Every set is built to challenge. This is form-driven, strength-focused Pilates—with the SOMOS edge.

Recommended for intermediate clients with some reformer experience.

STRETCH & RELEASE.

MOBILITY MEETS INTENTION. RECOVERY, DONE RIGHT.

This open-level reformer class is designed to improve flexibility, support recovery, and release tension where your body holds it most. Using the reformer and props like foam rollers, you'll move through guided sequences of dynamic and static stretching—focused, breath-led, and rooted in control.


A reset for your nervous system. A must for any movement practice.

This 50-minute Pilates-based class combines deep core training with mobility and recovery work.

The first half focuses on activating foundational core muscles—like the transverse abdominis—using evidence-based exercises to build strength, improve spinal stability, and support better movement in and out of class.

The second half shifts into dynamic and static stretching to improve flexibility, support joint health, and reduce post-workout tightness.

Designed by expert instructors and grounded in intelligent programming, this class supports injury prevention, recovery, and long-term performance.

It’s a perfect complement to your regular Pilates, strength, or cardio training—and a smart way to reconnect with your body.

meet the founder

Elena built SOMOS to be more than a Pilates studio. Originally founded as Studio Pilates Nashville, SOMOS evolved from a vision rooted in rhythm, real connection, and strong, informed movement. Elena’s approach is athletic and intentional—shaped by years of experience working with everyone from elite athletes to clients navigating injury, illness, and recovery.


Originally from Arizona, Elena began classical mat Pilates at age 10 as cross-training for ballet. At 16, she left home to train with Houston Ballet and later joined Nashville Ballet in 2016. Pilates remained central to her recovery and performance throughout her dance career—eventually leading her to earn her Balanced Body certification in 2018 under master instructor David Gensheimer, whose emphasis on precision still shapes her teaching today.


While dancing professionally, Elena began pursuing a degree in physical therapy, completing prerequisites with the goal of combining clinical rehab with Pilates. When COVID hit, she shifted course—recognizing a need for a Pilates space grounded in education, integrity, and thoughtful movement. That vision became SOMOS. Elena has trained a wide range of clients—including professional athletes (NFL, NBA, MLB, MLS, MMA, tennis, golf, motorsports), dancers, youth athletes, and aging populations. She specializes in complex cases, including orthopedic post-surgical recovery, autoimmune conditions, Parkinson’s, and pre/postnatal care.

As a first-generation Mexican-American, Elena’s heritage is core to SOMOS—not a layer, but a root. From the energy in the room to the way people are welcomed, SOMOS reflects real culture—not just aesthetics.
